Our Pods & Facilities
We have a total of 24 Cosy Camping Pods – all the same in size. Each comes with 2 good quality single beds and mattresses for a comfortable night’s sleep. The beds can be pushed together to make a double, or if they’re placed in an L shape, you can even fit a double airbed in.
Pods sleep 2 Adults (max) and up to two children (or three small children if they can fit on a double airbed - this is a squeeze). You just need to bring your own bedding and additional airbeds / roll mats if bringing your children.
Pods are insulated to keep to a nice temperature, but if you do feel the chill we have free hotwater bottles you can borrow. Pods also come with coat hooks and battery powered lights.
Our Pods don’t have electricity connected so it’s an authentic camping experience – but if you do need to charge phones or plug in your hairdryer, there is plenty of power available in the nearby Lakeside Lodge.
Pods each come with a 2 in 1 firepit / bbq. Firewood is available to buy for £5 per bag and firelighters for £1. For bbq’s you would need to bring your own charcoal or a disposable.
Bookings also include 24hr access to the beautiful Lakeside Lodge which has a kitchen including free teas, coffees and hot chocolates! (just bring your own milk). We also have mugs, glasses, spoons, cutlery, a kettle, microwave, toaster, 2 x tall fridge/freezers, three sparkling clean wet rooms with toilets/ 24hr hot showers, and a large common room. Power sockets are available in the lodge, and we also have a block of heated loos close to the Pods.
We have a large grassy play area in front of the Pods for children to run around and play (all whilst you can sit outside your pod and keep an eye on them)
We have a mini pod with an assortment of toys including; footballs, swing balls, badminton nets / rackets, rounders’ set, and a host of board games in the main lodge (for when the weather isn’t so nice).
Campfires and BBQ’s are allowed. Each Pod comes with its own Firepit / BBQ. Firewood is available to buy onsite for £5 per bag and fire lighters for £1.
Charcoal or disposable bbq’s you’ll have to bring with you or buy from a local shop.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. A £5 per pet, per night surcharge applies (this helps towards the extra cleaning involved – and is a lot less than kennels). Note, dogs must never be left unattended in the pods at any time.
We’re only a 15 minute drive to the attractions of Blackpool; The Pleasure Beach including Europe’s tallest rollercoaster, the Pepsi Max Big One, Blackpool Tower & Dungeons, The Sea Life Centre, Sandcastle Waterpark, Blackpool Zoo, Madame Tussauds, and of course the Illuminations – In 2017 they are running from Friday 1th September – Sunday 5th November.
Or for those looking for something a little more on the quiet side, there are various local heritage walks and cycle routes around the Fylde coast, as well as a host of world renowned golf courses, and traditional country pubs. The nearest country pub being the Eagle & Child, only a 15 minute walk from the site.
The Forest of Bowland, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is a beautiful stretch of rugged, unspoilt countryside covering 312 square miles of rural Lancashire and adjacent Yorkshire. Perfect for gentle walks, mountain biking, bird watching and scenic picnics.

FOOD AND DRINK
Our kitchen in the main Lodge is complete with a microwave, kettle, toaster, and 2 x fridge/freezers. We’re a self-catering style site with most guests choosing to cook on the BBQ. We do have some spare plates, mugs, glasses, and cutlery, but most guests prefer to bring their own. Washing up liquid, cloths, and tea towels are all provided for you. Tea, coffee and hot chocolates are also provided for you – but you will need to bring your own milk.
The Local Pub - The Eagle & Child offers a fantastic selection of traditional pub grub, and on weeknights has a great 2 for 1 offer on all main meals! The real chips are highly recommended (grown locally on our own farm!)
There’s a superb nearby Indian Restaurant ‘The Ashiana’ specialising in traditional Bangladeshi dishes. Open till late every night – eat in or collection only. If you like your spice we’d recommend the Handy Masala!
A local addition is the Villa Italian, just off the nearby J3 – M55 roundabout. This tasty bar and restaurant is perfect for those who enjoy eating in, serving up authentic Italian Cuisine and daily specials. We’d recommend the pepperoni thin crust pizza and Mexican Garlic Bread!
Bradleys Sports Bar is just a short 5 min drive away and is based in the AFC Fylde Football Stadium. You'll never miss a game again. The Pies and wings are highly recommended here!
Or if you don’t mind a short 15 minute drive, there are a range of dining options available in Lytham. Personal recommendations include; ‘Chu’s’ for Chinese, The Ship and Royal for a burger and Sky Sports on a Saturday afternoon, or Portofino’s, Spagos, or Gusto for a fine dining experience. There’s also a range of great pubs and bars with a vibrant atmosphere every Friday & Saturday. Including the Taps, the first port of call for any real ale fan, and Mojito’s – for cocktail lovers.
