Our Camping Pods are due to reopen from Monday 12th April.
Due to the government criteria - we are having to make temporary changes in order to reopen.
These will include:
The shared facilities building will be closed - this means no electricity will be available. Phone battery packs will be available to hire. Tea & Coffees may be purchased from our office along with the usual items e.g. firewood.
Each Pod will have access to its own private loo (this will be a porta-loo).
Only people from your own household can stay in a Pod.
Government Rule of 6 - or 2 Households max applies.
From 17th May - We're planning to take away the individual porta-loos and reopen the shared facilities.
Guidelines at that point state up to 30 people can meet outdoors, but only 6 indoors. For the past few years - we've had a 3 Pod maximum rule - which will remain in place.
All enquiries please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Full saftey measures for when the Pods reopen are listed on our FAQ Page here: https://www.campingbugs.co.uk/faqs.html

OUR PODS & FACILITIES
We have a total of 24 Cosy Camping Pods – all the same in size. Each comes with 2 good quality single beds and mattresses for a comfortable night’s sleep. The beds can be pushed together to make a double, or if they’re placed in an L shape, you can even fit a double airbed in.
Pods sleep 2 Adults (max) and up to two children (or three small children if they can fit on a double airbed - this is a squeeze). You just need to bring your own bedding and additional airbeds / roll mats if bringing your children.
Pods are insulated to keep to a nice temperature, but if you do feel the chill we have hotwater bottles available for £3.50 (to keep). During the cooler months we recommend you bring warm bedding or extra layers. Pods also come with coat hooks and battery powered lights.
Our Pods don’t have electricity connected so it’s an authentic camping experience – but if you do need to charge phones or plug in your hairdryer, there is plenty of power available in the nearby Lakeside Lodge.
Pods each come with a firepit. Wood can be purchased on site.
Disposable BBQ's are available to purchase on site - £5 each or £8 for 2. There are also bricks available to put them on.
Bookings also include 24hr access to the beautiful Lakeside Lodge which has a kitchen including free teas, coffees and hot chocolates! (just bring your own milk). We also have a kettle, microwave, toaster, 2 x tall fridge/freezers, three wet rooms with toilets/ 24hr hot showers, and a large common room with tables & chairs. Power sockets are available in the lodge.
NEW - Gift Vouchers available - Click here
We have a large grassy play area in front of the Pods for children to run around and play - all whilst you can sit outside your pod and keep an eye on them.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. A £5 per pet, per night surcharge applies - this helps towards the extra cleaning involved – and is a lot less than kennels. Note, dogs must be well behaved, always be picked up after, and never be left unattended in the pods.

FOOD AND DRINK
Our kitchen in the main Lodge is complete with a microwave, kettle, toaster, and 2 x fridge/freezers. We’re a self-catering style site with most guests choosing to cook on the disposable BBQ's. We do have disposable plates, cups, glasses, and cutlery available to buy in our shop, but most guests prefer to bring their own.
Washing up liquid, cloths, and tea towels are also available to buy on site if you don't bring your own. Tea, coffee and hot chocolates are provided for you – but you will need to bring your own milk.
The Local Pub - The Eagle offers a fantastic selection of traditional pub grub with a modern twist. Newly refurbished in 2019 and better than ever! Booking ahead is highly recommended 01253 542141.
There’s a superb nearby Indian Restaurant ‘The Ashiana’ specialising in traditional Bangladeshi dishes. Open till late every night – eat in or collection. If you like your spice we’d recommend the Handy Masala!
Bradleys Sports Bar is just a short 5 min drive away and is based in the AFC Fylde Football Stadium. You'll never miss a game again. The Pies and wings are highly recommended here!
Or if you don’t mind a short 15 minute drive, there are a range of dining options available in Lytham. Personal recommendations include; ‘Chu’s’ for Chinese, The Ship and Royal for a burger and Sky Sports on a Saturday afternoon, or Spago / Gusto for a fine dining experience. There’s also a range of great pubs and bars with a vibrant atmosphere every Friday & Saturday including the Taps, the first port of call for any real ale fan.
Visit Lancashire have also put together a handy food map.
