What time is check in?
From 2pm to 8.30pm.
Please don’t arrive earlier than 2pm as your Pod may not yet be ready and we don’t have space to store baggage.
Please contact us if you’ll be later than 8.30pm.
What time is check out?
11am. To check out simply leave your key in the Pod door - simple.
What do I need to bring?
Everything that you’d normally bring on a camping trip except the tent. The most important thing to remember is your bedding (e.g. an under sheet, sleeping bags/ duvets and pillows).
You’ll need to bring additional airbeds or roll mats if bringing children.
You’ll need to bring your own food and drink - although we do provide free tea, coffee and hot chocolates – apart from the milk.
Outdoor chairs are handy to bring so you can sit around the campfire although you can hire them on arrival for £3 per chair - that's for the duration of your stay.
A torch is a good idea as well.
Is there electricity / Heating in the Pods?
No. It is still camping afterall. But there is electricity in the nearby lodge.
What’s in the Pods?
2 single beds and mattresses and a small battery powered light. Doors are lockable with an individual key. You do need to bring your own bedding and any additional airbeds / mats / cots if bringing children. You can fit up to a double airbed in the Pods if you put the existing beds in an 'L' shape.
Can I have a campfire?
Yes. Each Pod comes with its own fire pit / bbq. There are also a number of traditional bbq's on site that are free to borrow. We sell firewood for £5 per bag and firelighters for £2. You'll need to bring your own charcoal if you're having a bbq.
Can I book pods next to each other?
Yes, if you book more than 1 Pod, we'll automatically make sure they're together. You don't need to contact us to ask.
How many pods can i book?
You can book a maximum of 3 Pods total. We don't allow large groups or single sex groups. We don't allow heavy drinking and we have a noise cut off time of 10.30pm. This makes for a peaceful stay and a pleasant relaxed atmosphere for all.
CAN Dogs come along?
Yes, dogs are welcome. You just need to make sure they're well behaved (friendly with others and not constantly barking), kept on a lead at all times, picked up after and never left unattended in a Pod. A £5 per dog, per night surcharge applies - this can be added on when booking via the website.
IS FISHING REALLY FREE?
Yes. As the Camping Pods and the Fishery are one business, this means fishing is free when you camp with us. It is fly fishing only. You just need to bring your own gear and have a fishing licence. More information on the Fishing can be found on the 'Fishing' page of the website.
What is there to do?
Have a read through 'THE PODS' page of our website - link above. There's loads of ideas and recommendations.
We have ample space in our Car Park. The car park is close to the Pods. The most you'd ever have to walk is around 15/ 20 seconds.
We aim to be as accessible as possible and welcome several guests in wheelchairs. For a full access statement please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org - We can also allocate you Pod 21 which is nearest to the facilities which includes ramps and grab bars in the wc.
Anything we missed or that isn't covered above - please feel free to email our friendly team: email@example.com
